A section of Victory Boulevard in Travis, Staten Island, was temporarily closed Tuesday morning as first responders worked to upright a dump truck that had overturned. The incident occurred near Victory Boulevard and Signs Road around late morning, with the FDNY receiving a call at 10:52 a.m.
At the scene, the dump truck was seen on its side, its elevated bed entangled in wires and tree branches. One individual at the site declined medical attention, according to an FDNY spokesperson.
The closure of Victory Boulevard led to traffic delays on nearby Travis Avenue, as drivers attempted to navigate around the area.
