Prepare for Freezing Temperatures Along U.S. 50 Tonight as Arctic Front Sweeps Kansas

An Arctic front is making its way through Kansas, bringing with it bitterly cold wind chills tonight. In Wichita, temperatures are expected to plummet to near 30°F, while in the northern and central parts of the state, wind chills could drop as low as 8°F.

Get ready to enjoy some much-needed sunshine over the weekend. Saturday will see a pleasant high of around 52°F, while Sunday will bring even milder temperatures reaching 58°F.

However, don’t let your guard down just yet, as the evenings will still be quite chilly with overnight lows in the low 30s, increasing the risk of frost.

Make sure to keep an eye on local weather alerts and be prepared for any sudden changes as the Arctic front makes its way through Kansas. To get the most current information on conditions, you can visit weather.gov or tune in to your local news channels.
