Tonight, the area will experience some snowfall before transitioning into a wintery mix. Heading into a Monday, the last thing anyone wants to hear is the dreaded word – snow. Unfortunately, it seems like that is exactly what is in store for the Capital Region and certain areas of New England.
Snowfall is expected to occur this evening and continue throughout the night. Now, the big question on everyone’s mind is: how much snow can we anticipate here in Upstate New York?
The National Weather Service predicts a light snowfall, which may cause some disruptions during Monday morning’s commute.
We all dread the wintery mix. Although it prevents excessive snowfall, it also creates unfavorable driving conditions.
A winter weather advisory is currently in effect for areas south of Albany. However, the storm is moving eastward and is expected to bring some snow to the Capital Region. It’s Nature’s way of reminding us that winter is still in full swing.
Radar loop shows light snow moving from west to east into eastern New York and western New England through this evening. The snow could result in slippery driving conditions, especially on untreated roads.
The snow and wintery mix will be happening before temperatures start warming up midweek. By Tuesday, we can expect temperatures in the 50s here in the Capital Region.
