Authorities in Louisiana detained two women and a man for allegedly killing a 20-year-old man and leaving his body in Mississippi.
Authorities have arrested two women and a man in Louisiana for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 20-year-old man whose body was discovered in Mississippi.
According to The Advocate, investigators from the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office have identified DJ Hollins, Calajia Jackson, and Allyah Martin as the suspects in Harris’ death. Sheriff Brian Spillman has alleged that the suspects conspired to lure Harris from West Feliciana Parish to Mississippi, where he was ultimately shot and killed.
According to a news release by Spillman, it is believed that Mr. DJ Hollins used a Glock handgun equipped with a switch that allowed it to fire in full auto mode, ultimately resulting in the death of Mr. Harris.
According to WAFB-TV, the trio is being charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. In addition, Hollins is facing an extra charge of possessing a machine gun.
According to reports, Martin and Harris share a child and were scheduled to attend a custody hearing on July 18th.
According to Spillman, the suspects are being charged by Mississippi officials. However, he is of the opinion that the blueprint for this crime was devised in Louisiana.
As a sophomore majoring in criminal justice at Southern University and A&M College, Harris was actively involved in the school’s marching band. Known as the “Human Jukebox,” the band had nothing but praise for Harris, referring to him as a “talented musician” and a “dear student.”
The band expressed their heartfelt sentiments, stating, “Steven’s contagious passion, genuine kindness, and deep adoration for music made him an invaluable member of our musical family. His mere presence brought immense happiness and motivation to each one of us.”
