An operation conducted by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office on Monday led to the arrest of three individuals linked to suspected drug trafficking activities.
On March 3, deputies apprehended Alexander Horton, Alina Villarreal, and Fidel Melgar-Trujillo after an extensive narcotics probe uncovered a significant cache of illegal substances, including 44,000 pills laced with fentanyl, a pound of black tar heroin, cocaine, processed marijuana, and numerous marijuana plants at a property.
The search warrants were executed at an apartment located in the 3000 block of O Street and a house in the 300 block of 8th Street.
According to the sheriff’s office, Horton and Villarreal were present at the apartment when law enforcement discovered them in possession of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and a stolen firearm that was loaded.
Meanwhile, Melgar-Trujillo was located at the house, where authorities found substantial quantities of fentanyl pills, heroin, processed marijuana, marijuana plants, cash, and a loaded handgun.
