Suspected Gang Member Accused Of Exposing Himself And Robbing Manhattan Assistant District Attorney

A 25-year-old guy was detained after reportedly robbing a Manhattan assistant district attorney in the lobby of her Midtown building.

According to police, Brandon Simosa confronted the 38-year-old victim in the hallway of her West 44th Street building around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities claim he took the victim’s pocketbook, cellphone, and bank card before exposing himself.

On Tuesday, police were able to trace down the suspect’s phone and detain him near a hotel on West 45th Street and Eighth Avenue, prompting authorities to assume he is a migrant.

According to officials, he was in possession of cocaine and approximately $525 worth of stolen Adidas clothes.

The Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which has targeted civilians in Times Square and Central Park, is accusing Simosa of being a member.

He was accused of criminal possession and sexually motivated robbery, among other offenses.

Six arrests for the same offenses have occurred in the last five months.

We believe he arrived in the United States in February 2023.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office will pursue the case due to the victim’s conflict of interest as an assistant district attorney in Manhattan.
