A snowstorm is currently developing in the United States, which may bring a mix of wintry weather to certain areas of the NYC region towards the end of the week.
This weekend, the temperatures are forecasted to drop into the 20s and 30s, and in certain areas, even reach the teens. However, before that, drivers should anticipate a wintry mix on Friday. For those eager to start their holiday travels early, the rain and snow may cause traffic difficulties on the heavily used Interstate 95 corridor.
“We can expect some precipitation on Friday as a weaker system moves in,” said Mike Woods from FOX 5 NY.
As we approach the weekend, there is a possibility of snowfall in cities to the north, including Syracuse.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, light snow is expected in most areas of the lower Great Lakes, the Appalachians, and the New York-Pennsylvania border by Friday. Parts of the I-95 corridor may also experience a few flakes or a light dusting of snow.
