Two Dead Following Shooting Investigation in Kansas City

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of a shooting that left two people dead on Monday afternoon.

According to KCTV5, law enforcement officers responded to a report of gunfire at an apartment complex located in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man deceased in a vehicle parked at the location. A woman was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries.

Authorities have yet to determine a motive for the shooting or if there is any connection between the man and woman involved, including whether they lived at the complex.

The Kansas City Police Department confirmed that they currently have no suspect information. Officials are actively speaking with neighbors and reviewing possible surveillance footage to gather more details about the incident.
