Kansas Highway Patrol Issues Warnings and Makes Arrests Over Christmas Holiday
The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) reported a busy Christmas holiday period, issuing hundreds of speeding warnings and arresting seven drivers for driving under the influence.
The KHP’s holiday enforcement period ran from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, to midnight on Wednesday, December 25, aimed at ensuring the safety of state highways.
During this period, one fatal crash occurred in Doniphan County. The KHP released the following statistics for the 2024 Christmas holiday:
