Police report two people injured in shooting near DART’s MLK, Jr. Station in Dallas

Two individuals were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds near a DART station in Dallas on Tuesday, as confirmed by local law enforcement.

The Dallas Police Department has reported that officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 3000 block of South Boulevard at approximately 4:16 p.m.

Upon the arrival of the officers, they discovered two individuals, a man and a woman, who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Dallas Police Department reported that Dallas Fire-Rescue transported both victims to the hospital. At this time, the conditions of the victims remain unknown.

Multiple police cars and personnel were seen near Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s (DART) MLK, Jr. Station, as captured in the chopper footage by WFAA.

According to a spokesperson from DART, the suspect in the shooting fired at two individuals from the DART platform and managed to flee before the officers arrived.

According to DART, the two individuals who sustained injuries were not officially present on DART property.

DART police is taking the lead in the investigation, with support from the Dallas PD. DART stated that the shooting has not caused any delays for them.
