On Saturday, July 20, an incident took place at Lululemon on Greenwich Ave in Greenwich.
Officers arrested Humberto Vega-Santiago, a 42-year-old man from the Bronx, New York, for shoplifting at a clothing store. Lt. Patrick Smyth of the Greenwich Police stated that the suspect was caught by officers when he returned to the store to commit another theft.
Smyth stated that Vega-Santiago tried to escape when approached by the officers, but was apprehended.
Unable to pay the $5,000 bond, he was held in custody on charges of larceny and resisting arrest.
Scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday, July 29, Vega-Santiago currently remains incarcerated.
