Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred in a residence located in southwest Oklahoma City on Tuesday morning.
Since approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers have been stationed outside a residence near Southwest 30th Street and Douglas Avenue.
According to KOCO 5, the police responded to a distress call reporting a suicidal individual who was firing shots into the ground at a residence. Law enforcement officials were attempting to engage in dialogue with the person, but unfortunately, they took their own life.
According to authorities, shots were not fired by the police, and fortunately, no one else sustained any injuries. Detectives from the Oklahoma City Police Department are currently present at the location, meticulously examining the evidence to determine what transpired.
