Authorities reported that a tourist helicopter in Houston, Texas, flipped over while trying to take off near the Galveston Seawall on Tuesday afternoon.
The Galveston Police Department reported that the incident occurred at approximately 12:21 p.m. in the 500 block of Seawall Boulevard.
According to the police, the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, managed to escape unharmed.
SkyEye captured aerial footage of the incident, revealing the helicopter’s tilted position along with a prominent sign advertising helicopter rides for $50.
Once their investigation was concluded, the FAA returned the scene to Galveston Helicopter Adventures, the owner of the aircraft, to facilitate the removal of the damaged helicopter.
