Over 60 Firefighters Respond To Fire At Colorado Springs Restaurant On Sunday Evening

An investigation is currently underway into a fire that occurred at a restaurant in Colorado Springs. According to reports, the incident took place recently.

At approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, Señor Manuel’s restaurant, located near Austin Bluffs on North Nevada, received a response from the Colorado Springs Fire Department. The first team arrived on the scene within three minutes and began battling the blaze just two minutes later.

According to Lt. Aaron McConnellogue of CSFD, the reason for calling in a second alarm was the size of the building. He stated, “It’s a fairly large building and that’s why we needed to call in a second alarm just due to the amount of work.”

Within 45 minutes of the initial report, a team of 67 firefighters and 15 heavy apparatus had successfully brought the fire under control. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident.

As of now, fire investigators are still in the process of determining the cause and origin of the fire. If you are traveling southbound on Nevada and approaching Austin Bluffs during your Monday morning commute, please exercise caution while driving in the area.
