Over $15 million worth of drugs and cash confiscated during I-70 traffic stops

Two major drug seizures along Interstate 70 in central Ohio are believed to be some of the largest ever recorded in the state’s history.

In just four days, the Ohio State Highway Patrol partnered with a state drug task force to successfully execute two significant drug busts.

On August 6, law enforcement authorities made a traffic stop on another commercial vehicle along I-70 in Clark County. During the operation, they discovered and seized an impressive sum of over $935,000 in currency.

The Attorney General’s Office has declared that the recent methamphetamine and cash seizures are considered to be some of the largest in the state. To put it into perspective, in 2023, the drug task forces had seized 349 pounds of methamphetamine.
