Ohio Gas Station Sells $50 Scratch-Off Ticket Winning $1 Million in Ohio Lottery

A fortunate customer in Cincinnati has won a massive $1 million prize by purchasing a $50 scratch-off from a Sunoco Food Mart, reports the Ohio Lottery.

On the 50th Anniversary game, the lucky winner decided to go for the cash option of $500,000. However, after mandatory federal and state taxes were deducted, he will receive a net amount of $360,000. If he had gone for the alternative option, he would have received $40,000 per year in 25 installments.

The game offers a whopping $15 million as the top prize, which can be claimed as $600,000 annually for 25 years. As of June 6, two top prizes are still unclaimed in the game.

The convenience store, Sunoco Food Mart, can be found at 10410 Kenwood Road in Cincinnati.

According to the lottery’s website, players of the 50th Anniversary scratch-off have a 1 in 3.97 chance of winning.
