Officials are hunting for 'armed and dangerous' men who escaped from a Mississippi jail on Friday morning

Authorities are searching for two escapees from a Mississippi jail, described as “armed and dangerous.”

According to WLBT News, Tyrekennel Collins, aged 24, and Dezarrious Johnson, aged 18, reportedly fled the Claiborne County Detention Center shortly after 2 a.m. Friday.

Officials have issued a warning that the escapees should be considered armed and dangerous, advising citizens to take necessary precautions.

Collins was incarcerated for Copiah County charges, while Johnson was held for Jefferson County offenses.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tyrekennel Collins or Dezarrious Johnson is urged to contact the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department.

Update: Johnson has a bad limp and an injury to his right leg that occurred during the escape (Pictured on the right).
