Maryland State Police Apprehended Man After Finding Mushrooms, Cocaine, Heroin And Ecstasy In His Car

Maryland State Police (MSP) stated they apprehended a guy early Sunday morning after discovering suspected controlled narcotics during a traffic stop.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., a trooper pulled over Dwayne Purdie Jr., 31, for suspicion of driving under the influence while on I-695. While conducting the stop, a K-9 scan was performed on Purdie’s Honda Accord by investigators.

During their search of the vehicle, troopers discovered what they believed to be cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, ecstasy, and heroin.

After processing, Purdie was brought to the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack where he faced charges for felony drug distribution, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl/heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics were also included in the charges.

After his apprehension, a District Court commissioner saw him and subsequently released him.
