Man Apprehended For Breaking Into Another’s Home, Beating Him Up And Snatching His Backpack

A Raleigh County man has been arrested after breaking into a man’s home, beating him up, and then stealing his backpack.

On Sunday, June 30th, the victim reported to the police that a man named “Country” had forcefully entered his residence, punched him in the face, and made off with his backpack, as per the details of the criminal complaint.

Inside the backpack, there were three cell phones, the victim’s car keys, and the title to his car.

The person identified as “Country” has been revealed to be Aaron Simmons, aged 38 and residing in Lester.

Afterward, Simmons was apprehended for different accusations and taken into custody at the police station.

During the station interview, Simmons confessed to being present at the victim’s residence. Moreover, the victim’s account was supported by an injury on Simmons’ right hand.

His nose was injured, causing the victim significant discomfort.

Simmons had the cell phones and car title on him when they were discovered.

Simmons currently faces First Degree Robbery charges and is currently out on bond.
