Macomb police have released body camera footage from a March officer-involved shooting

On March 16, 2024, the Macomb Police Department made public the body camera footage of the shooting incident involving Terrell Miller, who was only four years old at the time.

No criminal charges are being faced by the officer who was involved in the shooting.

Lieutenant Nick Goc and Officer Korri Cameron were dispatched to investigate domestic violence on March 16th, 2024. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, and lethal force had to be employed, resulting in the death of two individuals at the scene.

In accordance with the Macomb Police Department’s policy, an independent agency, the Illinois State Police (ISP), was tasked with conducting the investigation. As per standard protocol, the two officers who responded to the incident were placed on administrative leave while the ISP and an internal MPD investigation were underway.

The Macomb Police Department can now release the Body Worn Camera (BWC) footage regarding the officer-involved shooting that transpired on March 16, 2024, following the conclusion of the Illinois State Police investigation and McDonough County State’s Attorney review.
