Local Nonprofit Offering Employment Opportunities for Disabled Oklahomans Receives Support from The Porch Visits

The Dale Rogers Training Center, a nonprofit located in Oklahoma City, has been dedicated to creating employment opportunities for disabled individuals for the last 70 years. They are currently seeking additional support to continue their meaningful work.

We visited the nonprofit’s facility in northwestern Oklahoma City to explore the range of services they provide, accompanied by the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch.

At the forefront of promoting disability-inclusion in the workforce, the nonprofit’s executive director, Deborah Copeland, strives to guide the community towards a more inclusive workplace.

According to Copeland, their organization trains, serves, and employs almost 900 individuals on a yearly basis. He added that people with disabilities who participate in their programs collectively earn over $6 million.

Copeland urged individuals to expand their knowledge about the DRTC and the various prospects it presents.

According to Copeland, if you visit DRTC.org, you will be able to access all of the employment opportunities available. The range of positions is quite diverse, and although the agency only accounts for about 20% of their programs, the remaining 80% is implemented within the community.
