Kansas highways to be cleared of abandoned cars prior to storm

The Kansas Highway Patrol is gearing up for the upcoming winter storm this weekend. Starting Friday afternoon, they will be making preparations to ensure the safety of the roads.

Starting from January 3rd at 12 p.m., the patrol will commence the towing of abandoned cars that have been left on the shoulders of interstates and highways.

The patrol emphasized the importance of moving cars out of the way as it helps clear the highways and enables plows to remove snow more efficiently.

If your vehicle has been towed, you can call *47 to speak with a representative who can assist you in locating your vehicle.
