According to a report from Fox News, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance was hospitalized on Friday.

According to a report by Chad Pergram on X, it has been discovered that Vice President-elect JD Vance underwent a scheduled minor surgery at George Washington Hospital this afternoon.

A spokesperson for Vance stated that the surgery was for his sinuses and had been planned for some time. They further added that Vance is expected to return to work tomorrow.

In the meantime, Vance continues to serve as a senator and was present on Capitol Hill earlier today for the swearing-in of new senators by Vice President Harris.

Additional information about Vance’s sinus procedure has not been disclosed at this time.

In an eventful and action-packed day, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was reappointed to the gavel after receiving support from President Trump. The President intervened to lobby a pair of congressmen who had initially voted against Johnson in the first round.

Another medical incident occurred in Washington, D.C. on Friday. Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) suffered an injury after falling down the stairs shortly after the speaker vote. According to the police at the scene, Foxx was conscious and in stable condition.
