How to increase warmth and maintain comfort in NE Kansas

Temperatures in NE Kansas are expected to rise on Sunday, reaching the 50s. This warming trend will persist for an extended period, in contrast to last week’s fluctuating temperatures.

Sunday morning began with chilly temperatures in the middle to upper 20s across NE Kansas. However, as the day progresses, increasing southerly winds will warm things up, with temperatures reaching the middle 50s by this afternoon.

The winds will pick up speed, gusting up to 30 miles per hour at times, which may create a slight chill during the morning hours. Nevertheless, as the afternoon rolls in, the temperatures will become warm enough to offset any potential wind chill.

Expect sunny and dry conditions throughout the day, with increasing cloud coverage during the night. This will result in milder low temperatures of around 40 degrees, providing a welcome respite from the recent frigid mornings experienced in NE Kansas.

Temperatures will remain warm throughout the entire week, with a slight chance of rain on Christmas Day evening and Thursday. Although no storms are anticipated, Thursday could see intermittent rainfall, potentially making it a washout day.
