Emporia man and Sedan woman face charges of aggravated robbery

An Emporia man and a Sedan woman have been charged with aggravated robbery and other offenses following an alleged incident in Lyon County earlier this month.

Malik William Dorsey, a 24-year-old resident of Emporia, and Sheantel Tyler Thompson, a 23-year-old resident of Sedan, were apprehended on Wednesday by the Emporia Police. Their arrest followed an alleged incident that occurred earlier that day. Additional information regarding the incident is currently undisclosed.

Thompson is facing a longer list of charges compared to Dorsey. She is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated witness or victim intimidation, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. On the other hand, Dorsey is facing one count of aggravated robbery.

Dorsey and Thompson will make their first appearances in Lyon County District Court at 1 pm on Monday.
