Dallas firefighters are currently in the process of removing a body that was discovered floating in White Rock Lake on Tuesday.
At around 3 p.m., authorities received a call and promptly dispatched Dallas police to the White Rock Lake Dog Park, situated on the north side of the lake.
The Swift water teams, in collaboration with Dallas Fire-Rescue, are currently engaged in the task of retrieving the body from the water. Their objective is to transfer the body to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and identification.
No further information has been provided by officials regarding the body, including details about the gender or whether it belongs to an adult or a child.
The search for Clara Robinson continued on Tuesday for the eighth day as authorities tried to locate the missing 8-year-old girl. It is believed that she was swept away when her family’s car hydroplaned off U.S. Highway 75 and into Post Oak Creek in Sherman on Christmas Eve morning.
