Britany Cano died on November 24, 2024, just days after the birth of her son, Mateo. Meghan Damico set up a GoFundMe page, revealing that her husband, Elvis, their newborn boy, and their daughter, Leia, survive her.
Britany, regarded as a loving wife, mother, and friend, had been overjoyed to start a family with Elvis, her high school love. Unfortunately, Britany experienced a rare postpartum bleeding problem following Mateo’s delivery. Despite doctors’ efforts, including the use of a life-saving medicine costing $15,000 each dose, Britany died.
Her husband, now responsible for parenting two children on his own, has experienced an indescribable void following her death. Friends and family have started a fundraising campaign to help Leia with her financial difficulties, such as burial and daycare fees.
Donations will help the Cano family through this difficult time. Contributions will assist in maintaining Leia in daycare, where she thrives, and relieve Elvis’ financial burden as he navigates this new reality.
