According to court records, a man who violated his bond to attend the Country Music Awards has had an arrest warrant approved by a Mobile County court.
In April, Austin Tanner, a promising country music singer and tax adjuster, faced serious charges as a grand jury indicted him for insurance fraud, theft of property, and attempted theft of property.
Attempts to contact Tanner, aged 38, from Orange Beach, and his legal representative were unsuccessful at this time.
Tanner has been granted bond, and according to Alabama law, one of the conditions is that he must stay in the state unless granted permission by a court.
Court filings reveal that Tanner’s bond was violated when he attended the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Nov. 20.
Tanner’s Facebook and Instagram accounts are the sources of evidence for this claim, as seen in his social media posts.
“We had an absolutely magical experience last night as we strolled down the red carpet,” he shared in a photo alongside his wife.
“To all those who have supported my music and believed in this dream, your encouragement has brought me to this unforgettable moment. Cheers to country music and the stories that unite us all.”
Tanner was aware of the conditions of his bond as he had previously inquired with the court about his ability to travel to Florida, as stated in the filings.
Tanner’s bond was revoked after a motion was approved, leading to a judge issuing a warrant for his arrest today.
The hearing regarding Tanner’s bond revocation has been scheduled for December 4.
