On Tuesday, Lt. Kevin Michael Boyd turned himself in at the Kemper County Sheriff’s Department. The charge against him was based on a complaint that was filed with Child Protective Service on May 16.
Boyd has been put on leave until further notice, as stated by the Meridian Police Department.
Boyd is scheduled to appear in court on August 7th, but his bond has not yet been determined.
