Arrest made after a man fires a shot at St. Luke’s Hospital worker with no injuries reported

A man who had assaulted a hospital worker and fired a gunshot inside the St. Luke’s Hospital was successfully subdued by a security guard.

According to authorities, the hospital located at 4401 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri, was the site of a violent incident at approximately 9:10 p.m.

According to a news release by the KCMO Police Department, a staff member at the hospital was attacked by a man who entered the premises. The incident was reported by a security guard on duty.

As the guard attempted to apprehend the suspect, the latter quickly drew a handgun and discharged a single shot.

Fortunately, there were no casualties reported as the gunshots rang out. The security guard on duty acted quickly and managed to restrain the alleged shooter with handcuffs before law enforcement officials arrived on the scene, as stated in the press release.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any charges related to the case.
