Amory Police have confirmed that no criminal charges have been filed in connection with a shooting on Thursday, November 28, in the 900 block of Maple Street.
Officers responded to reports of the incident and discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was promptly transported by ambulance to a hospital in Tupelo for medical treatment.
Authorities detained a person of interest at the scene but later released them without pursuing any charges.
