Abbott advocates for the return of Trump to the White House to secure the border

On Wednesday night, Texas Governor Greg Abbott called upon Americans to ensure border security by electing former President Donald Trump as the next President of the United States. Abbott made this appeal as he emphasized the need to address the ongoing border crisis.

Governor Abbott emphasized the significance of having a president who can guarantee the security of the country’s borders, especially as the leader of the biggest border state. He expressed his support for Donald J. Trump, stating that America needs him for this crucial task.

According to him, the primary responsibility of the president is to safeguard the nation, and that is precisely what President Trump accomplished. During his tenure, illegal border crossings were at their lowest in nearly 40 years.

“On his first day in office, Joe Biden abandoned his responsibilities by dismantling the policies implemented by President Trump. As a consequence, the aftermath has been disastrous.”

According to a report by The Center Square, more than 12 million individuals have illegally crossed the U.S. border during Biden’s presidency, with around 2 million of them successfully evading capture, commonly referred to as “gotaways”.

Since Biden took office, the amount of individuals who have been caught unlawfully crossing the U.S. border exceeds the entire populations of 44 states and 155 countries.

According to a report by The Center Square, over 205,000 individuals entered the United States illegally last month. This brings the total number of illegal entries to over 2.4 million for the fiscal year through June. Notably, the northern border saw a record number of apprehensions.

According to Abbott, the country has seen the deadly consequences of Biden’s decision to allow rapists, murderers, and even terrorists into the United States. He cited the tragic case of 12-year-old Jocelyn from Houston, who was raped and murdered by two Venezuelans who were released into the country through a parole program initiated by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

According to a report by The Center Square, Mayorkas’ parole programs have been associated with violent crimes committed against Americans by criminals who were released into the country.

A heart-wrenching incident was shared by a Maryland resident on Tuesday night where he revealed the tragic story of his sister, who was raped and strangled to death by a Salvadoran immigrant who was in the country illegally. According to Michael Morin, the death of his sister Rachel could have been prevented had it not been for the negligent policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who opened the borders to such individuals. The perpetrator had already committed a heinous crime in El Salvador before entering the US unlawfully. Despite this, neither Biden nor Harris have apologized or addressed the issue to date. Their actions have empowered criminals like him to victimize innocent people, leaving families like Michael’s to bear the consequences.

“My family received a call from President Trump expressing his condolences when Rachel passed away. He even expressed his desire to meet us. It was evident that he cared about our loss. This is what true leadership looks like, and it’s something we need to see again in the White House.”

Governor Abbott expressed his concerns about the Biden administration’s efforts to restrict Texas and other Republican states from protecting their borders. Abbott stated that Texas has taken legal action by filing over 75 lawsuits against the administration, with a significant number of lawsuits related to border security.

In 2021, Abbott took the initiative of deploying Texas National Guard troops to the border and launched Operation Lone Star, which is Texas’ border security mission. According to Abbott, this was necessary because the president refused to take action. The Texas legislature has allocated almost $12 billion to fund this effort, which is more than what multiple state fiscal year budgets and even the Trump administration allocated to federal border security efforts in Texas. This was first reported by The Center Square.

Between March 2021 and the end of June of this year, the OLS officers have apprehended almost 515,000 individuals who illegally crossed the border and made over 44,600 criminal arrests, including more than 38,900 felony charges. In addition, they have confiscated more than 504 million lethal doses of fentanyl, which is sufficient to cause the death of every person in both the United States and Mexico combined.

The state of Texas took action to prevent illegal crossings by constructing hundreds of miles of razor wire barriers. However, the President ordered the wires to be removed and even sued Texas to halt the construction. In defiance of this order, Governor Abbott instructed the National Guard to build triple the amount of razor wire barriers. Currently, there are pending border lawsuits, including one regarding the razor wire barriers, awaiting a verdict in federal court.

According to Abbott, when the president seized 50 acres of Texas border property to process up to 5,000 illegal foreign nationals per day and release them into the U.S. illegally, he took action. The Texas National Guard was instructed to reclaim the land and secure it with wire, reducing the number of illegal border crossings to only one per day.

Abbott stated that since the president and “border czar” Harris declined to witness the border crisis they caused by not visiting Texas, he decided to bring the border to them. As a result, he transported illegal border crossers to Washington, D.C., and sanctuary cities across the country. Abbott emphasized that he will continue to transport these individuals until the border is secure, affirming that “those buses will continue to roll.”

According to recent data from the governor’s office, around 120,000 foreign nationals who entered the United States illegally have been transported to six different cities in Texas via bus.

Governor Abbott expressed his optimism and stated, “I am hopeful about the future” as he believes that Joe Biden will be replaced, and Donald Trump will regain his position as the President of the United States of America on November 5. He further added that Trump’s return to power will lead to the restoration of order at the border and elimination of crime and chaos from the streets.
