A Women sentenced to 35 years for 2022 death of man in Mississippi

Mississippi – A woman pleaded guilty in connection to the 2022 death of a man in Mississippi.

Hal Kittrell, the 15th Circuit Court District Attorney, announced that 22-year-old Sierra Jane Inscoe of Prentiss pleaded guilty to the murder of Carson Sistrunk.

Authorities reported that Sistrunk’s body was found on September 7, 2022, on Gulf Camp Road. The 24-year-old had been reported missing a few days earlier by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a family member’s post on social media, Sistrunk had gone to meet a woman he had been communicating with online.

Investigators found Sistrunk’s vehicle in Jefferson Davis County with Inscoe driving it.

After Inscoe pleaded guilty, Circuit Court Judge Richelle Lumpkin sentenced her to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with 35 of those years to be served without the possibility of parole or early release.
