Two men were shot during an attempted drug deal that turned violent on Thursday evening in St. Louis, according to the police. Moments later, the victims sought help at a nearby casino.
Two men were shot on Thursday around 5:30 p.m. in St. Louis’ North Riverfront neighborhood, specifically in the 200 block of Cass Avenue, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Two wounded victims and two others arrived at Horseshoe Casino’s parking lot at approximately 5:45 p.m., as stated in a crime summary report by SLMPD.
According to initial findings from the investigation, it appears that all four individuals were engaged in an attempt to buy drugs on Cass Avenue. However, the situation took a dangerous turn when the suspects brandished firearms and started firing shots.
Both injured individuals have been transported to a medical facility to receive necessary treatment and are currently in a stable condition. There is currently no available information regarding the identity of the suspect.
