NYPD Seeks Public Help to Identify Suspect in Manhattan Sexual Abuse Case
The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a reported case of sexual abuse involving a minor in Manhattan last month.
According to police, the incident occurred on Monday, November 25, around 7:30 p.m. A 14-year-old girl was at the corner of 2nd Avenue and East 55th Street when an unidentified man approached her, asking for directions.
The man allegedly kissed the girl on the lips before fleeing westward along East 55th Street. Authorities reported that he was last seen entering the Lexington Avenue and East 53rd Street subway station.
Police confirmed that the victim was not physically harmed. The suspect is described as having a light complexion, a medium build, and is believed to be between 19 and 25 years old. At the time of the incident, he was wearing clear-frame glasses, a black jacket, a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
To aid in the investigation, the NYPD has released a surveillance image of the individual.
