BRONX, New York (WABC) — A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a woman in the Bronx early Wednesday morning.
Gregory Williams, 21, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon at a residence on Westchester Avenue, police confirmed.
Williams faces charges including two counts of first-degree rape, third-degree assault, third-degree sexual abuse, and second-degree harassment.
According to investigators, a 26-year-old woman was walking along Virginia Avenue in Parkchester around 3:30 a.m. when Williams approached her from behind, punched her, and then assaulted her.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
